    one of the more interesting things Gallop revealed on the footy show was that the Storm had back ended plenty of contracts and would have been hugely over the salary cap next year even without the off books payments, how the hell could the NRL register half the Storm contracts knowing they would have to shed players to start next season its absolute madness.

      the league usually doesn't allow clubs to back end contracts to the point they are massively over the cap for a particular year, which is what happened with the Storm for 2011, for them to participate in the competition they would have to shed 5-6 first grade quality players to get under the cap, to a certain degree the league made the problem worse by allowing so many contracts to be so severely back ended.
