This does not change the fact that I beleive he is operating to his own agenda, which involves laying the boot into the NRL and to David Gallop..

The issue is not about the Salary Cap or the owners of the game in my mind. This issue is about Melbourne rorting the cap, with players and agents up to their necks in it...

We are both entitled to our opinions even if they differ greatly..

      Go Easts..
No worries about having differing opinions mate, its all good.

I do agree Gus is laying the boot in, cos I believe its needed.

I guess I just believe this issue is concerned directly with the owner of our game also owning the club whose just been rorting the cap.

I find it strange they have used the Tellucrapp, which they own, to discredit the players, player managers, Wally Waldren, other ex-officials, now Gus, but havent asked why the clubs owners didnt know about this???

      Its a bizzare situation.

      The FlogPen .

      You know it makes sense.

Mate the Tele isn't going to bite the hand that feeds them......

I agree with you and did something silly earlier and read Buzz's crap and he is sticking it to Wally more than Gus. It appears the corporate line is Waldren ran the club by himself, did everything from player contracts to cleaning the shitter.....everyone else walked around with no farken clue what was going on........but how have the rorts continued since he left ????

Although Gus can be abit of a tool in the media, he seems to have the best of intentions for the game. His dislike of Gallop harps back to the super league days when Gallop was the lawyer for Ribot and his mates.

All this crap that Gallop etc knew nothing about the Storm is absolute rubbish. News Ltd runs the game. News Ltd is the administrator and pays the bills. News Ltd gives back to the clubs less than 1/2 of revenue. News Ltd ownes the Storm and the Broncos. See the pattern. Now, with the Storm having News Ltd exc's on there board, how the **** did this suddenly go unnoticed for the last 5 yrs?

The salary cap does not reward those who are successful, it only elevates substandard success. What other business disadvantages those who are successful? The NRL is a business, but not a very well run one.

The game needs the independant commision to sort out all this crap. Whether it is putting nominal values on players, rewarding those who rise up through jnr's, once you play 100 first grade games your status as a player changes, loyalty of over 8yrs at one club etc etc. The current system only rewards mediocrity.

The telecrap is made for the average brain-dead footy player (and soufs supporters) with easy to read words and big pretty pictures. Buzz is the ultimate tool. News Ltd market this (toilet) paper for its own product. No conflict of interest here

Sorry had to get it off my chest.

              Crikey.
