Their is a lot of talk about player managers forcing clubs to breach salary cap rules. The most common breach as i see it is the clubs paying the managers fees on behalf of the player.
Example, player signs contract at $300,000 for three years with a club. The club shows the $300,000 on it's books for each of the three years, but not the $90,000 commission it has paid to the manager on the players behalf.
If you look at the $4m salary cap and all manager commissions were paid by the club that club would actually be $400,000 over the cap making it worse then the Storm breach.

Player Managers are one of the biggest blights on the game. They are the only ones who don't put anything back into the game despite making their livelihood from it.

Its usually a clincher in most deals KB, The club get their man, the player gets his money and the Manager his cut at no expense to the player, win win for all.

Most players are dumb as dogshit though and there trusted manager double dips, most players are non the wiser.

And for doing the job they get a cut, so farking what.

Its only the clubs and News whinging, cos they have to pay what players deserve.

NewsRL pulls in $140mill+ a year. They give out less than 1/2 of that cash to clubs for players salary cap, infact each club gets less than the cap. They have RAPED our game silly since 98.

But lets blame the players managers, its easy and its fun.

Gus has really only had one agenda and that is to take control of the game off News Limited. He makes no bones about it and will slam anyone in the media who disagrees. Let's not forget Gallop was in the trenches with that moron Ribot so because he is now all smiles doesn't mean he has the games best interests at heart.

Until there is an independent body running league this will not change.
