Their is a lot of talk about player managers forcing clubs to breach salary cap rules. The most common breach as i see it is the clubs paying the managers fees on behalf of the player.
Example, player signs contract at $300,000 for three years with a club. The club shows the $300,000 on it's books for each of the three years, but not the $90,000 commission it has paid to the manager on the players behalf.
If you look at the $4m salary cap and all manager commissions were paid by the club that club would actually be $400,000 over the cap making it worse then the Storm breach.
