I don't agree with your breakdowns. He is being paid $500k/season for Parramatta. This equates to $9,600/week. To calculate it based on games played is ridiculous. They have off seasons

So in actuality, he is being paid $6000 EXTRA this week to play for Australia. He still earns his $9,600 this week from Parra

Hayne is a cock, what does he mean the league doesnt care, which fools stood by this prick when he was out on the town partying and getting shot at, i say **** him, he played 10 great games last season, this rest shit house and he doubles his contract, now he wants more to play origin and international matchs.

These idiots do not realise that asking for money that just isnt there will bring the game to its knees, its been through enough with our " elite players" in trouble with the law, slary cap.

The game owes this prick and any other money hungry fools nothing, it should be an honour to represent your state and country.

My Daughter made the under 12s NSW netball team, with the help of great sponsors she had to find almost 2,000.00 to get to the nationals, us as parents were proud as punch, she felt honoured and priveledged to represnt her state.

So Jarrod Hayne and any other turd gurglar who wants to bleed this game dry and take away from the grass roots, fark off, take your idle threats and stick them up your arse, The game is greater than a 10 game hero show pony.

These blokes owe the game, they would be too bit drunks and gangstas roaming the streets for innocent victims.

I wouldn't want JWH running at me on Friday night...

If I was to get to the top of my selected field and was then asked to represent Australia in a commercial event, I guess I would want a piece of the pie...

            Flame away..

For a game in Melbourne, say Hayne brings down 8 of his family. Thats about $1k in flights, $1k in general expenses, $1k in accommodation and a few hundred bucks in the 4 extra tickets.

The players are certainly getting good wages - but so they should. They are the top of their field. The top businessmen, accountants, managers, engineers in Australia get paid a hell of a lot better.

Regardless of how much they are or aren't already being paid, the NRL obviously has a lot of HR issues that need to be addressed.

Like any business, employees come and go. But when they go, you need to listen why and act on it. Otherwise you won't be as successful as your competitors....

What I don't understand is why you get half ($6,000) to play for your country than you do to play for your State ($12,000).

I would have thought the honour of playing for your country is on par with, if not higher than, playing for your State.

I know SOO brings in the money, but please, you can't tell me that playing for your country should be worth half the financial windfall.

The ARL really know how to cheapen the green and gold jersey don't they.

And it's not as if the cost of Test tickets are half the cost of SOO tickets either.

Using this logic one could say he plays 3 internationals a year for $18000 or on your "breakdown" earning $346 per week for playing for Australia..

You can't have it both ways...

It is not ridiculous at all to work out how much they get paid per game..

If I'm not happy with my job and/or pay I would leave and I'm sure I would be replaced. If he isn't happy, he should do the same.

They are also better educated and contribute more to the economy. So you can't compare the two.

What's wrong with being paid well to do so?
