Problem is we say that about everybody, 'he was never a target' or 'we should of been chasing him',when we have no idea who we are actually chasing or pushing hard for.We also can't sign everybody, so people don't get dissapointed if we don't sign Dugan, because alot of people have the idea of him already signed.

When the roosters announce the signing of a good player, thats when we should get excited.

Bullshit he was never a serious target. Sullivan spoke about him numerous times and would have organised a dodgy marque especially for him.

Aparently Brisbane were very keen to get Tolman.
They are starting to miss out on signings and having trouble with retention as well.

          I love it

I think the Hannant deal will be sorted out late this week / early next week so they're getting some back.

I was under the impression the Titans had him already done.
From what I hear he is not the most popular guy around the Dogs at the moment, while he was liked he has been driven recently by self interest and absolute greed and that hasn't gone down too well.

I don't think the Titans will be spending too much on players in the near future.

It appears that home will be the Broncos for Ben, pending some financial terms for the 'Dogs.

I don't know as my info on this comes through a person who knows someone else who once walked past another bloke who knew someone, I understand that there is some frustration amongst several people inside and outside the playing group with what's going on. It's not like Sydney has come as a total surprise to Mr and Mrs Hannant. Some members of the club have gone above and beyond for them, for all the incoming players, to make sure they fitted in and are happy.

I could be wrong, I was on the beers with someone associated with the club.
But because I was on the beers, my memory could be a little fuzzy

                    Ok, there you go.

Like I said my mail on this issue is second hand. We'll wait and see but i am expecting that it will be sorted fairly soon. Whether he goes to the Titans, Broncs or Mars, I don't really care at the moment, he's gone any way. One thing I know it has really disrupted and disappointed a lot of people.

All the newspapers are linking him to Brisbane although rumours are Meyers is heading to Brisbane and Bailey might be going to England so they could be in the process of making room?

You gotta think though, Brisbane is a good 1 hour commute from the GC. 2 hours in travel every single day for what an extra 50k or something? If family means as much to him as he says I reckon he'll take less money to spend more time with his family... the GC also come across as a much more family orientated club.

I think he would be better going to the Bronco's as with the Gold Coast there is a risk of not being paid. They have already been advanced part of next years NRL grant to pay players..

Based on current form I would bet he would jump at the extra 50K

Imagine all the doors Ben the Morman could knock on during his 1 hr commute, in fcat make it a 3 hr and ride one of the sup;ied mountain bikes.

He could get fit, fufill hs morman mission, spread the good word, deliver the watch tower and stop at his other 13 wifes homes.

gee it is good to be Ben

Boyd Strickland impressed me on Sunday... he's had a few good games this season, kind of came from no where used to be a backrower iirc. It's his Last year in Under 20's but certainly one to hold on to in my opinion.

                                R6,
yeah i agree, Boyd is uncompromising but has to eliminate those fundamental errors in his game.
I'm a big fan of Isaac Maliota and Tom Pelo (to a lesser extent). I think Isaac might be over-aged after this year. I hope Smithy perseveres with him at continues to develop him at Newtown.
