it's a bit strange because the NRL has changed the deadline to register contracts for next year until after round 17 due to the uncertainty over the storm situation and also the possible salary cap increase for next year, so even if the dogs have apparently signed someone the contract can't be ratified until after round 17.
wont be orford - why the hell would you replace one old codger with another. i know they were going very hard for hodgkinson so theres my bet. the cronk comment is interesting though - wouldnt have thought cooper would ever leave melbourne but if they want to keep inglis then i suppose its a possibility.....
none of the storm big 4 are on the market yet, they are awaiting findings of the audit, one of the latest rumours is Smith will be the first out the door as they have concrete evidence that he knew all about the salary cap rort and News Ltd are going to push him out the door regardless of what Bellamy or anyone else wants.
Hodgkinson.....The dogs have been chasing him for well over a month......
Thats my take on it anyway....
Likely to be Hodkinson, (3 yrs at $270k) but they have gone real hard on Cronk too. If it's Hodkinson, we've paid overs to get him. We've also signed a prop for the rest of the season.
