For those people who keep saying "harden up" (whatever that means) - I wonder how they'd react if, say, their child was being racially vilified at school. I wonder if "harden up" would be the instruction to the child?

Personally, I think Tahu went over the top and probably should have dealt with Johns individually, but racism is a serious issue and this "harden up" crap doesn't wash with me.

      Harden the fark up TommyBoy.

Thats what men do mate, especially professional sportspeople, they deal with situations el-man-o to el-man-o. Hence the "harden the fark up" stuff.

Seriously its a bunch of footballers. Its a SOO camp. Would anyone in QLD have done the same if the situation arose in their camp??? I could speculate either way but I bet its pointless cos they wouldnt have let it reach the media, it wouldve been sorted there and then, el-man-o to el-man-o.

Thats why NSW shoot themselves in the foot often when it comes to this stuff, they havent learnt after 30yrs why QLD are better at SOO.

NSW needs to "harden the fark up" too TommyBoy.

      The FlogPen .

      You know it makes sense.

I mean it as if you are offended by what I say, that's fine, be offended.

If my son was racially vilifed at school, I would expect him to react as he does, be proud of his heritage and look the insulter right in the eyes.

                      Chook.

Not offended, Chook; I hear the phrase all the time, but I don't really know what it means.

You could say that Tahu "hardened up" by doing what he did. It's all a matter of interpretation.

seems Tamana tim tam has issues at Parramatta as well,Daniel Anderson wasn't fussed about flicking him,Hindmarsh is diplomatic but not convincing in his support.Seems to me Timtam had alot of issues with Junky Johns and put his own adgenda ahead of the team,NSW didnt stand a chance.Timtam showed his true colours when he walked out on league for$$$$$$$,with the risk of sounding rascist, how come it's always blacks who love shitting on the game that made them as atheletes,Mundane has alot to answer for.

Maybe I am out of touch or maybe I am a redneck and need to change my views but there are a few things that I don't understand about the current stance on racism.

If I call a bloke an Abo am I racist?

If I was a black man and called a white man an Aussie is that racist?

For those who know me I have red hair......and have been called every name under the sun because of it and the only reason I have is it's a visual thing. I know it's not quite the same but let's be honest what Johns said is Inglis is a black carnt !! If he had said he was a big carnt would that have been ok?

Racism to me is about being treated different
