It's interesting that the media and the discussion in general has completely glossed over the fact that "c..t" is equally as degrading (to women) as "black" is to aborigines. It's a sexist comment as much as a racist comment. But this has been all but ignored. It might say something about the blokes in the media, who are feasting on the story, and their attitudes towards women ...

The word c**t is used like jerk dickhead fckwit etc as a general rather than sexist insult imo. By using the term black he is differentiating the person based on their physical appearance.

You know this is my issue with the way this has been handled. Johns has shown over many years that he is a grade A dickhead - no dispute.

Tahu, on the other hand, as much as this might have caused him personal hurt, has not handled this with much grace. We now have Mundine kicking in on his behalf and calling Beetson, Tallis et al "coconuts"!

By all means find every platform you can to fight racism. But you can't fight racism by choosing sides with one race or the other.

Mundine is a goose and Tahu has done himself no favours aligning with him.

Yes it is, but to single out one person saying it as opposed to it being brandished around at training day in day out, is a very soft and IMO way out of proportion......And a very weak way to get out of SOO when he found out that he couldn't hack the pace.....
