    Best Player in the NRL

    The Slater thread has led to a little debate about who the best player in the world is.

                I don't think there's a player that can lay claim to 'best in the world' right now, not in the same way Johns or Fittler or even Lockyer a couple of years back could

                      Johns is the best I have ever seen. He did everything all the others can do (and more) as well as being able to kick goals from the sideline.

                      For me, as much as it hurts, it's Johns first and daylight second.

                            I actually think that was only accurate with Johns for a very short period in his career for consistency Locky and Freddy are in front of him.

                            You have to remember Johns couldn't get a gig for a long time in the NSW halfback spot and played hooker

                              Lockyer has never been in their league for mine.

                              I only think Fittler reached his potential in the 2002 - 2004 era.
