  • Cronulla Shark star Brett Seymour at the centre of another scandal

Cronulla officials will view CCTV footage of an alleged incident outside a Sutherland nightspot involving Brett Seymour.

The Sharks half-back is the latest NRL star to give the game a black eye after he finished a 10-hour bender in a garden bed early Monday morning.

There were conflicting reports as some sources said Seymour was drunk and out of control in Cronulla on Sunday night, throwing pizza and abusing patrons before being ejected from popular nightspot 2230 Lounge Bar shortly after midnight.

Other on-lookers said Seymour would be found innocent.

Cronulla chief executive Tony Zappia would not discuss a possible punishment for Seymour until all the facts had been gathered.

"I have spoken to the owner of the nightclub and he will supply us with the footage," Zappia said.

"I understand there are cameras in the mall that might show us exactly what happened outside the nightclub.

"We won't be making any calls or deciding anything until we know exactly what occurred.

"The allegations are disappointing in light of what has occurred in rugby league over the past 10 days.

"There is not much more I can tell you at this stage, we are going through the process of gathering all the information. We hope to have it finalised tomorrow or the next day."

Shortly after being asked to leave, Seymour stumbled into a garden bed at the front of the venue. An onlooker helped him to his feet, before he walked away alone.

Ten hours earlier, Seymour was one of about eight Sharks players to join coach Ricky Stuart for a casual drink at the Caringbah Inn following Cronulla's win the previous night.

Witnesses said the group was well behaved to begin with, betting on the races while watching the Rabbitohs-Roosters clash on TV.

It is understood Stuart and most of the players went home before 6pm, leaving Seymour and two other players to continue drinking.

It is believed the players then headed on to a series of bars in Cronulla Mall to continue drinking.

Winger Misi Taulapapa, props Jacob Selmes and Kane Snowden and hooker Terence Seu Seu were seen with Seymour. There are no suggestions any of the other players behaved inappropriately.

One onlooker in Cronulla said Seymour was knocking back bourbon and cokes later in the night.

"He was pretty gone, talking rubbish to other people and chucking pizza," said one witness, who did not wish to be identified.

Seymour finished up at 2230 Lounge about 12.30am Monday, when the venue manager escorted him from the premises.

It was then he fell into the garden bed, where it's believed onlookers took photographs.

The Daily Telegraph understands Seymour reported for training at 9am and completed the session.

Zappia spoke to Seymour briefly by phone and they will meet Wednesday for more detailed discussions.

He confirmed there has been no contact from police.

Brisbane Broncos sacked Seymour in 2006 after allegations he head-butted a woman on the dance floor of Brisbane's Regatta Hotel.
