  • My Goodness!!!

    How quick is Jennings

....and how good is Hayne when he turns it on.

Then comp looks like it is starting to get interesting.

If we win well tomorrow then I am prepared to add us to that mix.

    It's all getting exciting....

    Go you mighty Chookies!!!

That was a great game tonight. Parra could make a run to the finals if Hayne builds up some form.

There are a lot of sides at the top of the comp that are similar in quality. Saints, Penrith, Wests, Auckland, Manly, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Parramatta, Canterbury, even the Roosters, are all in the mix. The competition is so weak at the moment that any of these teams could make a run in the finals; even maybe win the Premiership.

Puhlease. Parra let in 24 points. They are not playing finals footy this year.

Manly beat an understrength Sharks ( who are terrible at full strength ).

Gold Coast are asleep and with Bird missing a few weeks, they will get worse.

Tigers are inconsistant and have been lucky in their wins. Their record doesn't reflect their form.

Canterbury, even if they beat us just don't have the stocks to go anywhere this year.

Penrith are like us circa-2008. Shut down their attacking kicks and they have nothing.

Warriors and Broncos are timing their run well and should go deep into the finals.

I thought we are with them, although due to the Warriors loss(should have won) our record doesn't show it that well.

Yeah I agree that all these sides are crap, but there is a pack of about 10 teams that are of similar quality.

It is easy to argue that both Auckland and Brisbane will struggle to win away from home in the finals; that Auckland don't have much quality in the halves; Brisbane lack experience, etc.

All of these teams are so deficient that the door is open for any team - including Parra or Canterbury if they can sneak in - to win the comp, if they manage to string together four weeks of form at the right time of year.

I don't rate the warriors just yet. They were dominated by both the roosters and panthers and lucky to win those games. Similarly the storm dominated them in the 2nd half but simply couldn't score. They really haven't beaten anyone of note since the start of the year.

My money will be on the bunnies to touch them up next week.

Warriors are just getting their troops back. They have been performing adequately without Seymour, Tate, Mannering, Vatuvei who are all their key players.

If they stay injury free, with the home ground advantage they enjoy, they will go far.

I disagree about their halves. Seymour has been great when healthy and Maloney is one of the form 5/8th in the comp. I'm sure he is right up there in all the crucial stats.

They are playing with confidence and have a lot of strike all over the park.

It's scary to think they are without Price and Rapira who are in the top 3 props in the world.

They are my smokey for the title.

I agree the Warriors could be a finals dark horse. Roosters-Warriors grand final replay? It's nice to dream.

I still think that St.Gillawarra are the probably the most likely. If they keep their own hand off their own throat in September that is. They have been looking a little more vulnerable of late.

We do need to win this afternoon: we are back down to 7th after last night!

                    Yeah I'm with you.

Unfortunately, it just seems a likely outcome the way they are playing. With guys like Thaiday. Lockyer, Wallace, Falau and a bunch of kids running high on confidence along with the enduring culture in that club - it all looks a bit ominous!

Auckland are 5 and 3 (one of those games was in NZ) and Brisbane are 5 and 5.

It will be especially tough for these sides to travel and win week on week in the semis.
