Bwaiff is an appalliing lock so anybodies stats are gonna appear fantastic.

He was an appalling 6 and with Carney now we are able to see just how stifled our attack had been with a 6 who only possessed a lumbering left foot step in his armoury...................oh and THE BOMB lol

The fat Greek might be useful off the bench but not as a starting 13

Just curious as to how you've come to the conclusion that he is the best player in the comp yet he hasn't even cracked it at state of origin level yet?

Dw I'll go easy on you.

Yes I watch Australia's game I also take note of their opposition... you going to tell me NZ and England are in the same league as QLD??

Everyone knows State of Origin is the pinnacle of the game. If you need me to tell you who's played well then you obviously don't know a whole lot about what you're commenting on...

                2007
Round 22 against third placed Parramatta Eels saw the Sharks snap a seven match losing streak in golden point extra time. It was later reported that after the match Gallen was involved in an incident with Reece Williams at winger Dustin Cooper's house. After consuming what was said to be "too much alcohol", team-mates and good friends, Gallen and Williams were involved in a fight. Coach Ricky Stuart stated that although it shouldn't have happened, that there was nothing serious about it as it was only "a scuffle"

                2008

Gallen attracted attention after the round 3 clash with the Titans for "grubby" play. The Sydney Morning Herald even claimed Gallen should face jail time for his facial assault on Anthony Laffranchi, where he allegedly attempted to rip the stitches out of Laffranchi's head wound. Titans player Josh Graham also claimed that Gallen clutched his testicles although this was not proven.

                2009

Gallen attracted public outrage for racially abusing an opponent, namely the Dragons player Mickey Paea. The incident gained attention initially, due to the angry reaction of Paea, who is normally a quietly reserved player with strong religious beliefs. After the event, there were reports Gallen would be stripped of his captaincy. However, pre-empting this, on 1 June 2009, Gallen voluntarily stepped down from his sharks captaincy.

So you're saying that to be a great player, you must succeed at State of Origin....Is Carney shit then?

Therefore, saying any current player in the NSW team is a good player doesn't make sense.

FFS I dont understand why you're measuring a players greatness on 3 games they play in a year, rather than the other 20 odd.

                          You're right. He's awesome.

While we're drawing up his contract let's get Mason back into the fold, call down Thaiday and give Bird and Matai a call.

There's the spine for a 'passionate' team.

Yeh to be the best player in the comp you must succeed at origin. What is there to get about that? You seem so baffled. I don't think anyone has ever called Carney the best player in the comp because he's yet to prove himself on the big stage... i.e Finals time & State of Origin. If he can establish himself over a long period of time at the highest levels of the game then yes the call may well be warranted.

I'm not saying that if you don't succeed at origin then you're a bad player because look at Creagh & Kimmorley (to an extent) both have had great careers to date and are great players yet both failed at origin. You just can't be considered the best if you don't succeed at origin... you remember you called Gallen THE BEST.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit. Congratulations.

Well no. The fact that you mention Mason's name is a clear indication you obviously have never played the game, let alone know little about it.
