They all play different roles, but in terms of inspiring the team, and offering strengths is all departments, Gallen is a class above.

Petero, Smith & Lockyer all captain their respective clubs. Smith & Lockyer their nation. They've all won Grand Finals & State of Origin series.

But to the point both are much better captains and inspirations to their team than Gallen. They have both the team and personal achievements to back it up regardless of which team they are playing for. Gallen has neither.
