Warriors centre Jerome Ropati has signed a new three-year contract that will keep him at the NRL club until the end of 2012.
Part of New Zealand's victorious World Cup team last year, Ropati says his wish had always been to stay in Auckland.
The 24-year-old made his NRL debut against the Sydney Roosters near the end of the 2003 season and played his 94th first-grade appearance in the Warriors' 26-10 defeat to Brisbane Broncos last Saturday night.
If he sees out his new contract, he will achieve the rare feat of playing 10 seasons for the Warriors.
Only two players have played in 10 or more campaigns with the club: half-back Stacey Jones and retired forward Awen Guttenbeil.
