Canberra won't make the eight next year, without Campo they are gone.
Barrett had talks about coming out of retirement to play halfback I'm pretty sure.

Nah, they're a bit old - they could have a big slide in the next two years.

Isn't it about who the NRL wants to win? There is no use in betting unless you know who the NRL has earmarked. It is all rigged you know....

I think we will have a period of a level playing field from next year for a couple of years just to murky the water from the obvious corruption.

The NRL tried from when they merged to win them a comp. I'm sure it was part of the agreement. As much as the refereeing didn't help them in past years, they had to revert to the mother of all plans before the rumblings of an independant commission was going to stuff everything up. So they get rid of the best team (minimal collateral as it was one of their own and they covered their own steps by eliminating anyone that could take it through the courts) then ironically allowing them to play over the salary cap (13 rep players weren't enough so they gave them Happy Feet for $50K). Undercover ****nuckle ex-Dragon Finch throws in Archer to cover the important games on the field and Mr Coca-Cola glasses Harrigan in the video box. Presto!!!!

Now that Finch has accomplished his mission giving Harrigan an automatic promotion for towing the line with Archer next in line for achieving his KPIs (15-1), plus they already let the other merger win a comp by changing the rules to suit them in 2005, now and only NOW are they in agreement for the independant commission. You watch, things will improve from next year to everyone's amazement.

I don't believe it was blatant corruption per se. Finch would have instructed the refs not to blow the whistle and let the game "flow". This means our attack was stifled with offside play all game. All the bad calls were the refs taking Finch's instructions to the extreme in letting the game "flow". The only one that didn't fit was BJ's try being disallowed.

I really think the NRL would want Souths to win which is probably why their odds are so short. Lookout for more changes in ruck interpretations to suit Souths big forwards.

No better way for the NRL to run a key down the side of the nice shiny new GC GayFL franchise than to have the Tits win the big one.
As a matter of fact i had a $1000 bet with a mate that they would win it either this year or next. Go Titans 2011 !
