Carney deserved it, just another bonus on top of a great season all he needs now is an Australian jersey.

JWH didn't really play 1st grade till he came to the Roosters, although he had already played test footy, been earmarked as a yawnion international (by both Australia and the Kiwis, having played yawnion for Australia in U17s or something before deciding it sux and he is really a kiwi either way.) He'd also been squabbled over as the next big thing by every team in the NRL. Ironically he was first known as "the Sonny Bill of Union"... I still like that little fact.

That said, he only played during 6 games for Manly... I'm no insider but IMO he was an NYC player at Manly... although he might have been on an NRL contract? Guessing he was because he is in such high demand. But surely your rookie year is your first year full-time in the NRL squad? So 2010 for JWH although he had already played for NZ... I dunno though...

Massive congratulations SKD!

For me, this is a bigger turnaround than Carney, Friend and Myles. All these guys had to do was get off the piss.....SKD had to find confidence, work his butt off and learn everythin he could from a great coaching staff. The best part about it is that he still has a lot of improvement left in his game!
