if you think its 3-400 large,u r wildly mistaken.
this bloke will be paid approximately 600k per yr.....and the nrl will not see anything other than 350-400.
russell crowe has ways of circumventing the celery cap so easily....just ask burgess's mother and the 500grand she got in england
FFS the nrl are as dumb as dumb

as much as i agree, hasnt the salary cap model been adjusted to in effect allow teams to accommodate an additional marquee player? Irrespective i still think they are over the cap but so what, good luck to them. it suprises me that we are yet to make a real signing for next year. carney and watts are talented players but i think someone of a higher reputation could do us some good and im sure we have the funds considering omeley and mason both essentially left without really being replaced

I love that Fat Richo has said that they wont need to shed any players at all to all of a sudden fit a $500k player under the cap at the last moment

Who can recall all the verminites jumping up and down and screaming blue murder when we put on Chris Walker and squeezed him in late for $40k ?
We were accused of all sorts of underhanded things, even had people like Andrew Denton writing news paper articles and giving his slanted perspective on how we were rorting the cap..... the Rorters this, the Rorters that

..... we may have to consider changing our pet name for Souffs from the Vermin to the Rortbitohs !

This is exactly what i can not work out for the life of me, how the F#*K do they fit GI in under the cap without shedding any players??????????????? If this happens what an utter F#*KING JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So if this is how things all of a sudden work i reckon that uncle Nick should just get his cheque book out and go nuts, buy Graham from England, buy Folau from gAyFL, etc etc do what ever the f**K you like cause all of a sudden there is no such thing as a salary cap!! Also how on earth do souffs get away with having Burgess on the cap for $150k, that will totally do me!!!!!!!!!

The whole salary cap system is an utter joke, I can pick at least two teams that I know would be going over the quoter. Bulldogs and Souths. I don't know how on god's earth the Dogs buy so many good players, pay a large transfer fee for Eastwood and still manage somehow to attract high profile players to shitty inner western suburbs of Sydney while they have to play for a team with shithouse facilities and controversial supporters.

Souths on the other hand, no explanation needed.

Brian Smith is not a coach to go after big name players, he goes afterb the underrated players I.E Watts and turns them into superstars.

Good to see souffs promoting another local junior, that club is a scurge on the league, although im sure some time in his past he played for a souffs junior club, maybe Crowe will name a section of Redfern Oval the inglisisadumbarseasmellypootoo after his tribe from yesteryear

Both clubs are flagrantly rorting the cap... The Bulldogs have a habit of being able to always replace good players with what you would consider upgrades. The only one way to beat them is to join them. It isn't hard just setting up offshore accounts as Crowe would and make payments to those players offshore accounts.

If the dogs sign Eastwood (keep in mind the release fee involved), then surely there would have to be an investigation into the dealings.

Dogs fans would love to tell you that he would only be on 250-275, but in reality, he is hot property and can easily get 350+ at other clubs.
