In todays SMH I was reading that its official... my guess is they have used all of their salary cap/3rd party sponsorships to grt him there. The SMH said he will get 1.8 million over 3 years including a car and a lot of 3rd party money.

Will 1 big fat centre really be worth blowing out every last dollar they have under the cap? Arguably the worlds best player... yes ARGUABLY! I think souffs are still missing a 5/8, young fullback, halfback, a coach...etc so they are still rotten to the core. You can't expect to win the comp just by buying GI + Burgess. Also WTF will they do with regard to retention since there is no money left for a rainy day?

Good luck Rusty. Too bad the Roosters still have you covered...

        Excellent comments, ism22.

Also they now have the added "bonus" of Mundine attaching himself to the club. Everywhere he goes, there's trouble.....and Danny Weilder.

Can see Burgess wanting out by end of the season.
        Lol @ Souths

Please, what are you talking about? I'm sure that they kept some money in reserve in case Locky, Slater and the Burgess brothers come to Souths for the love of the club.

            Who could blame them too.

They are "the peoples club" after all.

Soon Rusty and Fat Richo will be saying that GI is paying them for the honour to pull on the souffs jersey.

Im just waiting for Tahu to renege on his parra deal to join Inglis at the "peoples club"

Training will end up being a farken corroberee, not that any of these loyal indigenous men would know what that was.

Then again souffs have always lived in the Dreamtime

I dont think Inglis can even be mentioned in the same breath as 'worlds best'
I think to be in the running to be called worlds best player, you need to be a player that does the job week in week out.

Inglis could be touted as the most talented, or naturally gifted player in the world, but dont see how he even rates as a potential worlds best ....unless he does it consistently each week and not just for 4 or 5 games a season.

                    Agreed.

I guess Melbourne agree as well. Otherwise they would've let Smith, Slater or Cronk go instead of Inglis.

They may be the joke of the league, but they aren't stupid. If they are over the cap it will be well hidden.

All the more reason to stop the salary cap charade.
