Dogs fans would love to tell you that he would only be on 250-275, but in reality, he is hot property and can easily get 350+ at other clubs.
He has already signed and he wasn't really in demand considering the release fee (which isn't counted towards the salary cap).

He wouldn't give up a healthy UK contract for peanuts either.. Tolman, Pritchard and Hodkinson will all get plenty.

I think his point is moreso he would not have to release a player mid contract. Asotasi leaving at the end of his contract is considered not letting a player go.

In response to a number of media enquiries regarding Greg Inglis, Melbourne Storm CEO, Mr Ron Gauci, would like to make the following statement.

"Greg Inglis remains a contracted player with Melbourne Storm and, in accordance with NRL rules, Melbourne Storm retains the right to determine who may be granted permission to negotiate with Greg Inglis," Mr Gauci said.

"At this point in time, Melbourne Storm has not received any formal request from any club requesting permission to open contract negotiations with Greg Inglis.

"Melbourne Storm is open to any request, subject to conditions, by any club seeking permission to negotiate with Greg Inglis.

"A previous release had been granted to Greg Inglis in August only after the receipt of verbal and written representations by his management that the player would be responsible for the reconciliation of any outstanding expenses.

"Melbourne Storm is disappointed that this matter has failed to be resolved due to the reneging of an agreement."
This just keeps on getting worse and worse by the day. Souths didn't even approach the Storm to negotiate with a contracted player, could be in some trouble now...

The only way richo would get rid of a player is by eating him between meals.

He reneged on Melbourne and reneged on Brisbane.

It has a familiar smell about it.

Weren't Melbourne only gonna release him after his "i wanna move to brisbane" sob story, so he could play for BRISBANE. Will they still let him go to play for souths?

Since Richo has no between meals he must be telling the truth.

I suppose it depends on how much certain people slip into their pockets.
