Worst Halves Combination In The NRL

So far, who does everybody think has the worst halves combination for 2011?

Here are my top 3 choices:

Eels:

6. Mortimer
7. Robson

Sharks :

6. Graham
7. Smith

Souths :

6. Sutton
7. Sandow

They're all pretty miserable but at least Sutton has proven himself at first grade level. If he was playing inside an organising half I definitely think he'd be seen as a first grade 5/8.

I rate Sutton and Sandow to a certain extent, he is the worst defender in the game but he does have potential. Sutton sometimes I think is better off playing second row, similar to Anasta but they need better halves to be able to do that.

Sutton is a brilliant 13.

He shows glimpses of it when he takes on the line.

Decision making 5/8th he is not. There is a good player in there somewhere. Unfortunately Souffs have buried his career. Sandow is lol worthy. Good for zipping around in broken play and........ that's about it.

geez some people listen to Ch9 far too much.
Mike I will say he has shown some glimpses of what he could be capable of but how often is that, certainly not once a game.

The reason I don't rate Sutton at all, is because he is too stupid to know what the hell he is supposed to do. I don't care that he could probably do it, he just doesn't do it.

And between Dumbo and Stupidow nearly every set of 6 ends in an extremely poor option.

Sutton doesn't have much between the ears, that's why he is a shithouse 6.

Given the running role in the 13, with no responsibility but to run straight and offload, he is brilliant.

I agree with you that they are the worst halves in the comp, however I can't dismiss Sutton's abilities, especially at lock.

As shithouse as Sandow is, i think the combination of Mortimer and Robson is diabolical

also.. we haven't seen Graham player for the sharks yet; so no idea how that combo will develop

Sutton is better when he plays in the 12 jumper, outwide he is devastating.

Only trouble with Souths halves is they can't kick and their decision making is shit.

I agree with ya there chook norris, eels halves by a long way, if there was ever a talentless half it is mortimer. I dont rate Graham at all, better 13 IMO

Robson tries hard, but is far from creative.

I don't mind Robson so much, Mortimer shits me off though. If I was Parra's coach I would have Humble and Robson for next year, Mortimer can **** back off to group 21.

For Cronulla I would have Graham and Porter, don't rate Smith at all, he is to scared to run the ball and dosen't do anything except catching and passing.
Cronulla would of been better off playing Barrett in the 7 this year and have Kelly in the 6.

The Lol Souffs combo the worst.

Sutton is a lock/running 2nd rower.... cannot kick or tackle. Too dumb to open an envelope.

Sandow is just crap. Most missed tackles two years running. Rubbish kicking game. Could not 'organise' a root in a brothel.

Eels & Sharks halves both equally rubbish.

Eels is by far the worst...not even a contest. To claim even Sandow is as bad as Robson is pure souffs bias methinks
