Okay so admittedly I should have added a little disclaimer. No way the souths would be breaking the cap any more blatantly that anyone else in the competition. Like TOF also made note of, over the years I have my own doubts about how exactly we are managing our salary cap (along with a whole host of other clubs) so its not like they'll be breaking the status quo. Pointing fingers at them, reeks of a certain amount of hypocrisy.

You may still think I'm naive, but I think they'll be able to manage it if they back end it. If they don't offload players this year, they will have to do so in the next coming ones.

I said the same thing months ago. The fact that Burgess is only on the books for $150,000 this year says it all. How much will Inglis be on the books for? 200,000?

But if you want facts, how about the quotes from Richo above and the fact they would have us believe that were going into the season with about a fifth of their cap unspent.

They are throwing it in everyones face.

They just don't give a shit.

Fair call but Lockyer has been in the game for 15 years he is a one club player, test and origin captain. There would be many people willing to give him money.

Burgess was shopped around for 400k a year plus a transfer fee. Yet his salary when registered with immigration was for 150k this season. Something isn't right.

What did we do with Mason? We had to release Harrison, Danny and John Williams in the off season. Then we lost Tupou and Shillington the following season. We lost alot to get Mason.

If they fit Inglis in this late without losing anyone it is a clear rort.
