That is the sort of crap that comes out of the CH9 mouths. They (esp Gould) whinge like babies if the referee uses the vidref then complain like stuck pigs if they don't and get the decisions wrong.


The focus should be on getting the right decision not whether there is a quota or limit to how many the times the ref goes to the vidref

Initially the video refs were meant to give the attacking team the benefit of the doubt (nothing easier to resolve the question than that) your'e right to say the video must be used, If they cant see weather it's a try or not, award the try, fair to all teams, if the onfield ref sends a try decision to the video ref for adjudication the video ref will often send it straight back to the onfield ref to make a decision. this is farcical as are a multitude of rules in league to-day. Our code changes the rules every year. I can't think of any other sport that do'es so and it, been happening for decades. Simplify the rules and police them. Other codes must think us stupid

You only have to listen to Harrigan on Talkin Sport to realise nothing will change. The guy thinks the two ref system is the best thing since sliced bread and believes the refs are doing a good job over all. He's now come out and said refs need to be more confident and stop using the video so much, which sounds great until some poor ref backs himself and then the video shows that there was a knock on or the like. No mention of how poor the video refs (himself one of the worst offenders) have been so its like the alcoholic who can't adit he has a problem.....he can't help himself until he admits there's a problemt
