The game itself was a blow out due to poor refereeing.It should have been a close game. 1stly Morris was tackled out and Illawarra score two plays later.Yes I too thought Leilua knocked on,but to claim you would have scored from the ensuing play. Is the same as me saying Easts. would have scored from the ensuing scrum after the Morris knopck on.Put it simply neitrher of us know what wpould have happened.

2ndly We had a fair try disallowed the pass was not forward

3rdly Dean Young balatantly knocked on into Aubusson for your 4th try This killed off the game then and there if it wasnt alrteady gone What it did do was stop any chance of a late comeback which we hjad been making a habit of doing, and blew the score out to a margin that did not really reflect on the match.

I wont even go into the other parts of the match that others have pointed out. The poiints above are enough to show the score did not reflect the match

You can't have it both ways but good try. The Roosters should have defended the try regardless of what happened two plays back. Just as the Dragons still may have scored two plays later even if it been called out and a Roosters scrum feed (intercept, knock on etc). Like you say, no-one can predict the future.

Illawarra scored two plays later as they had Easts on the backfoot after the Morris break down the sideline.That happens a lot in Rugby League a side makes a break which is stopped but a try is scored later on in the set of 6.If you cannot see that the 1st try was a direct result from a break where Morris was taken into touch and play should have been stopped and Illlawarras momentum stopped,then you have no feel for the game.

Whilst I get what you are saying 39- 0 was incorrect We scored in the 2nd half at the SCG It also doesnt mean we wouldnt have come back in the GF or at least made the score close. WE probably wouldnt have won but giving Young a try which was CLEARLY no try killed off any hope of that or the game being a tight finish.It also killed off the match being highly scrutised as it would have been had the scores been tighter.There would have been an outcry over the dibolical decisions that went against Easts

Finally yes it was a great effort for Easts to make the GF. Not once on here have I said the best team didnt win.What I am saying is.One side was given no real chance of winning due to diabollical officiating,whilst the other was given just about every bit of assistance possible.
