I'd rather just relocate a couple of the struggling teams like the shark's. Expanding the league is just gonna spread out the talent more when I'd much rather see what we have now.

I'm not a big fan of the Central Coast bid, like Ben I think talent is already thin enough at the moment. New areas like W.A are great in the long term and we should be looking to expand not consolidate...

Should we expand when the NRL can't get the game right as it is ?

Perth and Adelaide failed before....can't see any increase in fans over there and that's who pays the bills eventually.
Build up the weaker teams and make the comp more competitive,

              Thats Not totally correct maggie.

Adelaide Failed....then again, adelaide is the most boring place on earth !!

Perth on the otherhand were getting strong crowd averages and while not making millions, was able to keep it's head above water.

The reds, along with the Gold Coast Chargers were both casualties of the ceasefire in the sewer league war. (the Rams and Mariners were failures so it was decided one ARL and one Sl side were to be cut to make the storm)

The Reds could have continued and would have been successful, they were made into a sacraficial lamb.

Sorry Mario......you are right, but I didn't think they were strong enough to compete with the Eastern states.
It would be great for Rugby League though, but make a lot more travelling?

wa reds didnt die because of lack of support,or lack of money.
they died +because the new ceo that was hired to run the show knew nothing about footy, organisational matters, nor did he know how to man manage people.
the committtee set up by him, absolutely rooted that venture.
as for newcastle-hunter marinres, and adelaide, well newcastle had the knights, and adelaide had gay judges, cops, peado'sand politicians-they were always bound to cop it up the arse, adelaide.

The reds went broke. They were forced to pay for all the opposing teams airfares to and from perth and even though they had strong crowds, they couldn't make enough money to cover flights and wages.

Have a look at Perth's economy now compared to then. Also demographics with the number of eastern stater's migrating west.

                            NRL Expansion

If the NRL expands, 1st cab off the rank must be a second Brisbane team. This is the second biggest Rugby League city and there is only 1 team! Sydney has 8. That is ridiculous. There should be an NRL match in Brisbane every weekend. Fantastic stadium, plenty of supporters, sponsors abound, waiting. Can be North Brisbane, or Redcliffe, whatever. There should ber a match for the real RL supporters.

                              Redcliffe Dolphins!

                              Coached by Wally Lewis.

I would cream in my pants over that.
