  • Inglis to the Bombers

Just read in the SMH that Inglis was married recently and is struggling to pay his mortgage because he has no income. Consequently he is in talks with Essendon in the AFL... I sorta hope he switches codes and ends this whole saga.

My sources, and they've been spot on regarding Inglis so far, say that the AFL story is a ruse designed to put pressure on the NRL.

good luck to the greedy bastard.

seriously, he spat the dummy because melbourne wouldn't pay his $100k legal bill after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend. not even a game-orientated legal dispute, he expects his employer to pay for his personal pecadillos?

then he agrees to go to brisbane because he wants to be near his GF or in in his hometown or some spastic rubbish like that. but he holds out like a greedy ****er until the broncos crack a shit and let the deadline expire for the contract signing.

then he snaffles off to LOL@SOUFFS after saying he didn't want to go to sydney. in the meantime souffs drafting a dodgy contract that underpays him on his base salary and tries to load him up with "3rd party contracts" which they assure us, have nothing to do with rusty negotiating side deals (which would make it part of the salary cap). this is the thinking coming from "melbourne man" ingliss.

now after the nrl were wise to this game he's chucking a petulant wobbly about his mortgage. something that he should of thought about before he allowed his manager to start playing silly buggers with the contract structures.

let him go play with the powder puffs at the afl.

        yep. that's my impression too.

that's why the nrl should call his bluff.

Agreed... what would the AFL want with a fat guy who doesn't really have a kicking game anyway?
I think the 1 thing he is doing right is promoting himself as a quality footy player without playing any footy. The quicker this whole saga dies, the better. I'm glad we don't have any drama queens... I'll take SKD over Inglis any day... never heard any drama's around him... real quiet achiever IMO.

I think its all just a clever ploy by Ben Hannant, so he is not viewed as greedy as he is

It's pretty obvious to most of us.

Exactly, I am sick to death how the NRL are being blamed for this one.. Greg Inglis could have played for the Bronco's if he didn't let greed (the irony) get the better of him once again. It is laughable how some sections of the media are trying to portray him as a victim in all this and that the NRL will be responsible if he cannot find himself a club.

If an AFL club is stupid enough to want to buy him, let him go

Just like Folau and Hunt and everyone who goes to super league or union - they're all replaceable

I doubt they'll fall for it. I can't see fatboy being able to leave the ground, let alone kick.

Spot on, here is a man without integrity yet is being touted as the victim. Maybe he is a victim but only of being manipulated by greedy MFers.
But some of his actions in the past are not those of a person I would like at the Roosters.

Typical stupid athlete. On a multi-million dollar contract and he can't manage his money well enough to pay off a mortgage.

So why is he struggling to pay the mortgage ?
Isn't he still contracted to Melb, who are stuck with him if the Suss Sydney deal doesn't go through .... so if he is still contracted to Melb, then isn't he entitled to an income from them until he gets a deal elsewhere !

He's most likely on unpaid leave until he sorts out a contract. I doubt Melbourne would be giving him a cent whilst he's parading around in Souffs gear.
