  • Storm and next year

I have a sinking feeling in my bones that the Storm will be "redeemed" next year. Just like the scumdogs were in 2004 after they rorted the cap, the Storm is a moral to be given all the calls and the trophy.

And I'll bet that it's the Roosters that get arseraped again.

News needs to protect its investment. I have no faith in the "independence" of the new commission.

I am not worried about the storm. They have lost too many good players. They have no quality depth. Imo they will make the bottom 4 of the 8 and not really threaten. If they get an injury to 1 of the key 3 (Slater, Smith or Cronk), they are screwed! They have been up the top for so long you just can not sustain it. We were up 2002-04, then looked what happened to us. Have a feeling the storm will do something similar.

I agree to some extent, pending the injures, but a team containing Smith, Cronk & Slater is always going to be a good one.

i dont normally wish injuries on any player , but a few ingrown toe nails to cam smith wouldnt go asatray or he might get too yappy with jwh and find himself out for the count, maybe even burgess from the soft might sort him out?

The 'BIG' difference between the bullscum and storm cheating the cap is that the storm have had to shed quite a few players, plenty of talent. The dogs on the other hand miraculously kept their illegal team together which was utter utter BULL$HIT!!!!! As a result the storm will not be able to replicate what the bullscum did.

Not only that, but they were allowed to sign new high-quality players to add to their illegal roster - e.g. Andrew Ryan.

Amazing how they could pull that off, no wonder they won 04 the cheating pricks!! Looks like bullscum are resorting to those tricks again for 2011.

With Molly 'behind' the team, anything is possible.

IMHO Melb won't make the 8, their pack won't last the season.

No matter how good Slater and Smith are, you can't win going backwards, and Cronk will also be shown to be no better than any other half once they start going backwards.
