After Rusty finishes with his monopoly money, rumour has it he will have bought Gallop, Inglis, SBW and Bennett.

Bennett would be a huge acquisition - mainly because wherever he coaches, his team has carte blanche to stand offside and go early in defence on every tackle, as well as slowing the ruck, all without penalization. Did it for 20 years with broncos, then same at St Merge.

The real test for Wayne would be coming to Easts and seeing if the team would be allowed the same latitude by the refs!

The bookies are favouring Souths, with Saints just behind and broncos around $7. Will be interesting to see it play out.

Also interesting to see the irresistable force (Bennett consitently creating winning teams) meeting the immovable object (souths being perenially shite). My money is on the Souths losing culture being stronger than Bennett's talent.
