The Sydney Roosters have enjoyed one of their strongest membership sales days in history after captain Braith Anasta, and fellow Sydney Roosters team mates took the initiative to proactively call fans of the club and sign them up for 2011 Club Memberships.
In what was originally only meant to be an inbound calling exercise, the Roosters players showed how much their club is determined to win the ‘Battle of the Beaches’ by picking up the phone and calling fans and convincing them to become members of the club.
The campaign has seen the Roosters net over 800 members and take the lead in the ‘Battle of the Beaches’ heading into the final day of the challenge.
Meanwhile the Sharks and the Sea Eagles both recorded strong sales to keep themselves in the hunt for the $10,000 membership grant from the NRL.
It’s not too late to help your club win the ‘Battle of the Beaches’. Simply sign up for your club before 5pm tomorrow to help them win!

At a football club, there’s a holy trinity – the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don’t come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.

Oh well good on 'em, we did well regardless of the final results. We past last years total which is a massive boost given there's still one month till the season.
Well done to marketing considering we were up against two clubs giving out free and discounted memberships we did well too go toe to toe
