Bennett to leave Dragons

I always think of the dragons as having solid forwards who make the ball players look good because they always get clean ball.

Weyman, Creagh, Young, Scott, Prior... okay so I can spit out names lots of good forwards, mostly with rep experience. They've made a lot of really ordinary ball players seem legendary to the uneducated eye.

I'll enjoy seeing us demolish the dragons in a few years when the forwards are gone, Soward/Boyd are pretending they are big shot leaders (Willie Wanka style) and Gaz coaching. I'll buy up some Dragons bumper stickers so all the guys who bought stickers during the last 2 years (bandwagon carnts) can keep wearing those colours... no adding a blue to the sticker when times get tough! That's reserved for those who sat through 2009.

Boyd is a bit of a tool (like that stupid interview he did). I think your quite harsh in your assessment of Boyd being an average first grader. He plays for QLD and Australia, got fullback of the year and the Clive Churchill medal in the GF. If i could get him for the Roosters i would grab him in a heartbeat.

I seriously think he had no idea though... like all Wayne's faceless soldiers he was told "don't give the media anything" so took it literally and just said "nup" to every question asked coz he had NFI how to play the media. Others are a bit brighter and can say things like:
"yeah of course we have watched how the opposition played, and we have some tricks up our sleeve... I think you'll be surprised..."

Okay not those exact words, but give the fans a tickle, tell the truth about the obvious and give away no secret details like "I watched their fullback do ______ so I'll counter it by doing ______."
Boyd was just a young tool with no idea not wanting to cop it from Wayne for giving away their plans...

Agree 100% with all that! I will never forgive Bennett for screwing us over in 06! Very good chance the broncs were over the cap in their GF winning years.

I think the broncs are more salary cap compliant these days, cause on paper i have never seen their side being as weak.
