That's true, there's not an excess of grey matter up there.

If fatty is an issue then the current board needs to come with a decent plan. Is that even possible????

Of course it is. They've allegedly got $10,000,000 woth of sponsorship for the year. You'd think that would be enough to see them through.

They may need that money to spend on marketing themselves so they don't get over-thrown

He was last seen leaving the knights boardroom with a piece of Steve Burranston hanging out his mouth.

The more i read about this bloke the more i dislike him and the more i think the knights have made the right desicion to not deal with him.

While he can ply money in, i can see nothing is guaranteed with this bloke. The knights would be in Major turmoil with him as owner

They're going great guns without him.

Well done knights for not becoming tinkler's toy.

Amazing how many ppls believe every word out of the telecraps when it suits their agenda yet poo poo it everytime when it doesn't. As they say the devil is in the detail. Thank fark not everybody will bend over dacks down to take it up the .... when some large mythical amount is flashed around.

If there is any justice in the world tinkler will swim out in newcastle waters and get stuck like the Pasha Bulker and the japs will come by and harpoon his fat arse.

Two comps since 1988, that's one more than us. Not bad for a pub team.

                              Tinkler shows true face

They say money can't buy class.

Nathan Tinkler's hasty withdrawal of a $100m offer to buy the Newcastle Knights smacks of an arrogant rich boy who took his bat and ball and headed home because the game wasn't being played to his liking.

He called off a meeting with chairman Robert Tew and CEO Steve Burraston on Monday before firing off a venomous email to local television station NBN in which he blamed the pair for the talks failing.

"Tew and Burro rejoice, you keep YOUR club," Tinkler screamed in an email, childishly pointing the finger at the duo for having the temerity to question large slabs of his takeover proposal.

How dare they keep such a rich and important man waiting over such trivial matters as due diligence, financial prudency and the club's future.

Don't they know who they're dealing with? Don't they know how much he's worth?

You cross this bloke at your peril.

Just ask the myriad horse trainers and support staff who have been sacked for failing to meet the big man's exacting standards at his Patinack Stud - renamed 'Patinsack Stud' by critics.

Tinkler didn't become Australia's richest man under 40 by playing niceties or taking no for an answer.

You either do it his way or you hit the F3.

Rules? They don't apply to him.

                              Take the Kade Snowden affair.

The kid agrees to a new deal with the Sharks but at the last minute receives a call from an unnamed backer offering him megabucks to rescind and head elsewhere.

The rumour is Tinkler is behind the offer to lure the prop back to his hometown club.

It leaves the young bloke's head spinning so much he pulls out of a press conference to announce his re-signing at Cronulla, embarrassing himself and the club.

Tinkler has denied all knowledge of the offer but no-one is buying it.

The same as Tew and Burraston, who refused to buy Tinkler's talk.

They should be applauded for not being bullied into a deal that's been described as a 'mirage'.

Well, it appears that he has played them all off a break.

He got them all hot and bothered about Snowden, Idris and Bennett all coming to town on the back of his cash. He "pulls out", trashes the board and voila ... you have an uprising from the great unwashed.

The members could quite possibly hand him the club without him spending a cent. If their demand for an extraordinary general meeting is successful then they'll throw out the current board and put Tinkler or his cronies in.
