  • Sharks v Dragons game tonight puts things in perspective.......

Who would have thought that the sharks, after last year, after their game against the Raiders, would even get within a sniff of the Dragons????

The dragons got done like we got done against manly. The Sharks made the Dragons play Sharkball.

manly did the same with us yesterday.......how many people are saying that the Dragons will not make the 8?????

i can tell you now, bennett will say similar to what Brian Smith said yesterday in the post match (minus all the bending parts).

When you put things into perspective, it is round 2, with losses like this, you learn, you look at where it fell apart and you make damn sure that next time it doesn't happen.

I'm sure the panic-mongers are cooling off right now.

I have not been on here moaning about that loss.

In the long run it may even be a blessing in disguise.

From the start I have believed that if we have a good run with injuries we should be there in the first weekend of October.

I have not seen anything to make me change that view.

It's not about losing, but the way they lost. The oh well attitude. The same attitude that some of you are displaying. Just because the socks lost doesn't suddenly make everything all right.

Exactly, it is not that the Roosters lost but HOW they lost that I find hard to handle. The merge scum stain losing doesn't take away from the fact that there are issues with the Roosters that were there last year and don't appear to have been rectified such as making 15 metres or 22 metres in one set of six in possession.

I must confess to having the "oh well" attitude. I'm a Rooster tragic, but had I let every dumb loss over the past 40 years get to me, I'd have been committed years ago.

                Here, here.

Haven't we been through too many Grand Final losses in the past 11 years to know that a loss like this one isn't the end of the world?

Save the hope being dashed for the Souths fans.

This was our record of losses up to R16 last year. Many were as shocking as yesterday. The loss against the Warriors was our turning point.

                  R3 - Canterbury-Bankstown v Sydney Roosters 60-14
                  R5 - Penrith v Sydney Roosters 28-6
                  R7 - St George Illawarra v Sydney Roosters 28-6
                  R9 - Sydney Roosters v North Queensland 14-32
                  R10 - Sydney Roosters v Newcastle 18-34
                  R13 - Sydney Roosters v Cronulla 18-42
                  R16 - Sydney Roosters v Warriors 18-20

It wasn't until R17 that we hit our straps. Some of you (ie. Coggy) were spruiking the same sh!t after every loss last year. It is a long season. Take a chill pill before you bust a vein.

After last year I thought the attitude would be better. It seems a lot of you are happy to accept mediocrity.

I was happy where our mediocrity got us last year.

You're easily pleased. The 2nd half of the GF was a pathetic effort.

No it doesn't make everything all right, there are still problems that need fixing, but to go off half cocked and call for wholesale changes is just plain crazy.

it is not about an Oh Well attitude, it is about actually finding out whats wrong and correcting it. Sacking players is not what needs to be done.

it is as clear as day that manly shocked us out of our game plan, they made us play their game and they did a good job of it. We need to learn from this and when under this pressure, we need to stick to our own game plan.

Somtimes Occam's razor is a fitting explination.

I said nothing about wholesale changes. Their attitude needs changing though.

Do you honestly think that that will be our attitude for the next 28 games?
Did you cut and paste what you wrote after we got flogged by the dogs last year?
