Sandow is one of the smallest men in the NRL, but that has not stopped the tiny South Sydney No.7 - all 173cm and 80kg of him - from pulling off some of the biggest hits seen in the opening three rounds.
Try as he might, the tiny Sandow has struggled to lose the powerhouse shoulder that will rattle a few Manly players on Friday night.
Sandow, 22, vowed to get rid of the low-percentage defensive tactic last year, but sheepishly admitted on Wednesday it had been a much tougher challenge than first thought.
Several botched shoulder charges have already contributed to his 17 missed tackles.

"Sometimes I think I'm (teammates) Dave Taylor or Sam Burgess," said Sandow, referring to 118kg Taylor and 112kg Burgess.
"Then I look in the mirror and realise I'm Chris Sandow. It's something that has been in my game for a while since I was a young fella, it's a habit but a bad habit.
Is it time for Chris Sandow to put the big hit away, or is the shoulder charge what the fans want to see? Post your view at the bottom of the page.
"I've been talking to Langy (coach John Lang)) about it and it's something that when I'm in a shitty mood I try to pull off. It also has something to do with fatigue."
Sandow said he only ever led with his right shoulder, but played golf and cricket left-handed.
An attempted shoulder charge last Friday against Parramatta led to an accidental head clash with Justin Horo - the Parramatta back-rower came off second best - and prompted an evil stare from Luke Burt after he had skipped away and avoided a leaping Sandow in the second half.
The biggest concern for Souths officials is seeing their playmaker risk serious injury.
