I'm with you spanner. Lot of individual talent but they just don't click as a team. Could be the worst half-5-8 combo in Nrl factor.

Top match. Souths were apparently perfect for all except three straight tackles where Manly got penalties.Notice Manly got their penalties when it looked as though the game was won. Souths are being looked after by the refs so far this year.I think it will continue as well

Young Will Hopoate is a gun player. I wouldnt mind seeing him playing in an Easts jersey one day.

It's a bizarre culture at that place. Apart from multiple other issues, their whole "pride of the league" thing is very individualistic, which I think translates into their squad. It always ends up being about South Sydney, and never the good of the game. It's me, me, me every single week and every single year. Every pre-season it's about South Sydney coming good and we finally got the missing link. Vagana, Asotasi, Burgess, Inglis, Harrison and Wing are just a few. Shit... They haven't won a ****ing premiership in FORTY YEARS. They haven't regularly contested in the finals for 20 years. As far as I'm concerned, South Sydney is the biggest myth and the most manipulative club in rugby league.

The refs had to even up the ledger at some time Andrew, can you imagine if $ouff$ won the game with a 5 - 0 win on the penalty count, their wouldn't be enough doors for dessy to tear down !

I think this is due to him looking as though he has a high cruising speed and seemingly being able to get around the field almost effortlessly
