Bennett was coming to us on a handshake deal and bringing his entire coaching staff with him which is why Politis cleared the decks of coaches, trainers etc. We got rid of Stuart and Flannagan (and Lam I believe) to make room for Bennett and his cronies and he backed out leaving us without any stucture. And that of course lead to us grabbing Anderson and subsequently Fittler.

Bennet calls Johnnie Lewis tells him his Trainer while trainer has Mundine ,Trent , Langlands , Amos Roberts and another bloke who I cant remember his name -That bloke straight away sells the story to a particular paper .

Now the best thing Ive ever seen was Bennets look of fear when in a following week when ever and it was leaked out and he carried on when we were playing brisbane at the SFS , security escorted him to his seat when he looked on his left and saw Politis -Ive never seen a bloke move so fast to get outa there and relocate him self.

The only one that blundered in the end was Bennet him self he admitted that not that long ago that is why he has sorted it out early this time .
Any player or coach's movement is followed by the media yu cant avoid that so for him to think it would be kept quiet is rediculous just to let you know he agreed to come to us 1.5 years before the cat was out of the bag and he was quick to point out that one of our blokes was to blame.......when really it was his phone call on the day that did it.

So if you are to keep it quiet for that long how do you plan to sign or discard players staff etc .........your not getting my point...Bennet learned a lesson from it he admitted to that.
So today we have two clubs with plenty of time to sort them selves out etc.

Your paper reported not the roosters public relations officer so how did you know ? an informant did thats who .As explained earlier.
