Alcoholism is a genetic predisposition. Bennett fights every day to not drink. If I didn't think he was a blight on the once great game of Rugby League I'd almost feel sorry for him.
would it make more sense to say Addiction in general is genetic?
like my mum was never addicted to anything apart from ciggies.my dad was addicted to a few things, but i get addicted to anything Really easy..it takes alot of will power to not abuse things.

Hard to say ay... my grandpa was an alcoholic (drunk 24/7)... gran couldn't put up with him so my parents got a 3 storey house with a basement. He had the basement which he converted into a really cool wine cellar, games room, bedroom, garage and bomb shelter because he had this fear about the Russians. He could be sober when he needed to do serious work that involved obtaining more alcohol or protecting us against Russians. I don't go there much, but it still has a few hundred bottles of cheap red... and Brandivino!!! I got a paper bag with Brandivino in it out of there once for a tacky uni party. We drank it at the Kings X Maccas while listening to Cold Chisel at 6am... really stoopid obsession with a Cold Chisel song...

Me... I didn't drink until I was hmmm 26? (Excluding that 1 Brandivino incident.) Then I travelled and during 1 cold snowy winter became an alcoholic for a few years. That said I always got up the next morning, have never been hung over and have never spewed. I survived somehow and met my wife during that period (who was surprised when she met my friends because they all said I was the guy who didn't drink.) Now I have the odd binge to loosen up, a few beers with a BBQ/footy and a glass of red (or 5 or 6) with a decent dinner. Other than that nothing. I inherited the strong stomach though...

Hmmm never smoked (literally never a puff) and never touched any drugs. I drive within the speed limit (even when some carnt is beeping and flashing his lights) and am not a fan of coffee or soft drinks. Never been one for peer pressure either (always find it easy to walk away if I don't like the smell of something.)

        Maybe it skipped my generation?

One would have thought you would have eaten breakfast at Sweethearts.

maybe, im only addicted to the damn ciggies now,but if i have one glass of coke,i wanna drink the whole bottle,i get drunk quite often, but i have little problem going for long periods without it,but i regularly make myself sick on it ahaha.drugs, while i loved them and their highly addictive for me,i have strong will power and knew i needed to quit them,in saying that,i could never do them socially and not abuse them.so i just abstain.
if i go to the club, all my money will go through the pokies,so i dont go to the club with anymore than 40$ for drinks, then i still sacrifice 2 or 3 beers so i can slip 10$ into Zorro..i nearly put 30 of it on kenny dowell for 1st try scorer saturday night, but i refrained and was absolutley FUMING!

My Grandfather, father and mother all drink heavily every night. so do I. I also smoked heavily, used social dr ugs heavily, gamble heavily and am alternately addicted to either exercise or food. I am sure i am going to end up a sobbing wreck on biggest loser probably couples as my wife and I are both compulsive eaters.

thank fk for the Roosters, walking to the beer stand and the pie stand is my only exercise for the week currently!

but I still dont turn into a curmudgeon and holier than tho hate figure like Mr Handshake

                what a cnt

I am addicted to refined sugar. I have to fight every day not to go crazy Broadway style at SugarFix in the Myer mall in Sydney.

Still can't get over the fact that Bennett told Souths he wouldn't sign unless they let Sutton & Sandow go at the end of the season...

Where did you hear this from? I can't get over the fact that Phonechucker didn't leap at the free advice and get rid of those two losers immediately
