Comparing the 2 defensive sets, you can hear an almost instantanious call from the refs to move when the tigers attempt a tackle, the broncos are given that extra second or 2.

Also, someone remind me, was the edict from boss billy that a tackled player had to play the ball on the mark?

Because already in this match, i have heard the ref say "off the mark" yet no penalty............. Is the play of the ball no longer the flavour of the month.

I think the refereeing was atrocious. But that is what kept the tigers in the game. Brisbane played all over them tonight. Darren Lockyer proved again why he is probably the greatest player of all time. He is in fine form. I dont know the Dally M leaderboard at the moment, but could this be his year?
If he went out a premiership winner it would cement him as an all time great.
