I think on some occasions, even involving young teens, a female should be liable for placing herself in a situation where she is at risk.
I don't mean when she is physically forced against her will, but the sort of recklessness "Claire" showed.
Women must take some responsibilty for their own actions. It is always the males who are charged.

a few things come to mind
1. where is andrew johns-when he was done over by the media, matty was the first person to come out and support his brother
2. just because in this instance the woman seems to have consented, doesn't mean it always is or has been the case.... just as i am sick of all nrl players being labelled woman abusers etc i am tired of all the women in these situations being labelled sluts and slags. there is NO doubt in my mind whatsoever that there have been situations involving nrl players that have been rape
3. where are the other gutless pieces of shit involved?
4. if the woman consented why would she have gone to the police to make the investigation in the first place-maybe i'm wrong but it seems weird to me that she would invite ALL of the players in to have sex with her and then complain to police?
5. why is she getting paid an amount of money from the crime victims commission of nz?
6. matthew johns should only have been sacked for bringing the game into disrepute for committing a morally objectionable offense-he hasnt actually committed a crime if we are to believe his side of the story-why then do they still allow joey who did the game just as much damage and actually committed an illegal offense to still be on tv?

Matty johns, has done nothing that is criminal, was not charged with any offence and was cleared of any wrong doing.

Like you said, while it may be morally wrong or confrunting to Main stream society, is not neccisarily criminal.

There was no one else involved in Joeys case. Ch9 and the NRL did the only thing they could have done with MJ.

The thing I would like to know is the time frame from the incident and the reporting to the police. A "work mate" of this woman says that she was bragging about what happened and did not have a problem. When did she report it though?

I think she did what she did, was fine with it at the time but in the light of the day and the alcohol had worn off regretted it big time. If she was telling people about it, she would have quickly got a reputation and that may have hurt her...

Matthew Johns should be stood down temporarily and re-instated soon.

It was wrong for him to cheat on his wife, but that was for him and his wife to sort out. The NZ woman consented everything with M Johns and B Firman.

Now what was wrong (for most people anyway) was what happened when the other footy players came in.

M Johns did not ask them to come in, he did not have control over what others would do..

It should be other people that are shamed, NOT M Johns..
