  • Bulldogs and the salary cap

I just found out now to my shock they signed Graham, the english capt for 2012....is this a ****ing joke? How can that squad possibly be under the cap??? I compare that team to ours and it makes me a sad panda

They have the best guy on the front desk to rort the cap.

Todd Greenberg can't do anything wrong so why would they audit them.

Ummm ... yeah ... I got nothing ... let's see who gets released at the end of the season. Only Hodgson, at this stage, is off the books. Ryan may or may not play next year, but he's discounted already.

Not on massive coin though, and probably not enough to cover Graham's salary.

I think there might be a few clubs banking on a salary cap rise in the next couple of years. Back ended contracts over 4-5 years seem to be the thing at the moment.

Could be potential disaster if that cap rise never occurred

Personally I think it's a strange piece of recruiting with Tolman already in the side... both very very similar players.

                  Isn't Tolman off contract?

Hello Adian, this is the RWB calling.

Tolman hasn't even played a full season at the dogs yet.

When you can afford it you do it.

So now they'll have 2 blokes who'll make 150+ metres and 25+ tackles a game...

                          Shock horror! We have none.

You'll be surprised to hear that Greenberg is quoted in today's papers as saying that they have room under the cap to sign a centre

I think they are still under the cap, if they continue to improve and their players get selected for Origin and they make Prelim/GF, they will struggle to keep the side together but with the next TV deal its obvious that the club grant will increase and so would the salary cap you would think.

Their players aren't on big dollars, their highest paid player would be Frank Pritchard/Michael Ennis at about 350k - 375k.

I wish our club brought in James Graham, we need a toiler type prop. Would of been nice having another blood nut charging it up.
