I don't think it's our attack that's our biggest problem. I think it's our defense. If you look at our line, the vast majority of the time it looks like a join the dots rather than a cohesive unit. There just doesn't seem to be anyone marshalling the line. This season we are averaging over 24 points scored against us each game - win or lose. Now unless we can regularly put 30+ on teams each week...

Evidently not granted we stopped the Dragons from piling on the points against us, but failed to outscore them.
Same this week - stopped the Titans (if you exclude the last 8 minutes where we got desperate and our defence lapsed because we were throwing silly balls in an attempt to score QUICKLY.)

We can defend - we just can't attack. If we could attack then we'd be like the Souffs were last season (second most points but still an negative PD + failed to make the 8.)

I reckon we'll be doing a lot of work on our attack over the bye week, our defence is just about there in my opinion.

Actually, seriously, ism is on the right track. look back at the tries that have been scored against us, especially those at the end of the matches, they have been off broken play or from our mistakes (loose balls and stuff).

this is where the focus comes into it.

the 24 points is a blow out at the end of games when the heads drop and the focus waines, the last 5% thats what we are missing in defence.....we are missing alot more in attack.

We are missing a very good 5/8. Lets be honest. The forward pack is pretty strong. Pearce is not the creative world beater that some on here expect. We need a star 5/8 (which is sitting on the sidelines) and if he goes, we need a decent replacement with a real strike centre. The backline running out each week, just doesn't have 20 points in them.
