They needed a try to end the game, but Soward made the wrong decision - twice. The Dogs had them on the ropes, yet Soward turned over possession twice with his stupid field goal attempts. Even if he got them 6 ahead, the Dogs were looking like they were going to score soon. If they converted, then it would go to extra time. Given how poorly structure their defensive line was, how bunched their forwards were, and how inept they looked in attack, then I think if they went to extra time they would have lost. Some people say he should play Origin. If he turns over possession like that we will get belted by 30.

Two facts are the 1st half he played twice as good as Pearce has all season and in the 2nd half he walked off in the winning team, as I said winners can laugh.

Not much to say about Soward Country game last week. When there are quality player all over the park he got found out big time by Jennings. You also dont seem to remember Pearce being the most dominant half on the park.

Easy to look good amongst the best team running around at the moment. I say play him in Origin 1. That will settle both sides of the argument. But boy if he gets picked I cant wait for it to be his one and only game.

cannot wait until bennett leaves the dragons. soward will fade back into mediocrity, miles away from rep selection (peter wallace style). He got his start because of his surname, He has been with us for 5 seasons and he's done sfa. He rates with Soliola as being the most overrated chump in the club in the last 5 years. The club made a huge mistake when they released Soward.

Utter rubbish. The saints didn't need another try, if you didn't realise the saints were leading the whole game.

What the saints needed was control of the game thru field position and up stepped the little master.

In the second half he controlled the game, made many important tackles and pounced on loose ball etc.

What is it with Pearce anyway, why is he protected so much? He hasn't done anything. With Horrie or Lam or even Spina I could understand it but Pearce? It doesn't make sense. Anyone who knows anything about footy can see that Soward is a better player.
