Do you think that guys like Nightingale, Scott, Soward, Hunt, Prior, Merrin, Green, Rein are world beaters??

Sure there are some great players in there, but the most important part of that team is...

    Coach - Wayne Bennett
The playing roster was important also.

His reputation was certainly enhanced due to this team.

But I do agree with your views on him.

Do you mean Mourinho? However look what he did with Porto.. They weren't even a team of champions.

Yep. Second place is first loser, the only coaching achievement I rate it winning. Did Gould win a premiership with the nucleus of the side that won in 02? No but Stick did and much of a cnnt as the guy is he will always be remembered for that

What Bennett has done with Soward is enough for me. He is a genius.
Soward may not be "great" but he has been customised into one part of a very good side.
Look at Browns Dragons. Impressive roster. Underachievers.
              Look at Browns Soward. Useless.
              Look at Stickies Soward. Invisible.

Stickies Soward - Newtown where he belonged. Watch the Milkman dog it tonight. Carney will be there for Origin 2.

Regardless - Can't you see what Bennett has done with this "useless reserve grader"?? That is the point...

It's only a lack of quality in the position that has given him a chance at this level.

Compare him to other five eighths that have worn the no.6 for NSW

                        Fittler
                        Daley
                        Kenny

I am going to find it hard to cheer when he has the ball.

Funnily enough I didnt follow his progress at Inter.

Were AC or Inter the one that was reconstructed due to Salary caps and money issues?

2002 had nothing to do with Dean Pay's defensive structures?

Maybe we should get Sticky or Chris Anderson back, they are premierships coaches after all. I am quite surprised Sticky's strategy of a team comprising 16 back-rowers and a second-rate halfback didn't work, or Anderson's idea of the one-marker.

If they are not available then perhaps we should it a priority to get other premiership coaches like John Lang or Michael Hagan.

Compile a greates hits and then compare it to a debutant. Is there anyone in the current NSW side that would be considered a great? Finch and Anasta, Brett Hodgson, Jarred Mullen, Peter Wallace.

Yes, i am serious. Finch and Anasta were our halves
