When Hollywood Bill was reffing I thought he provided one of the highest quality products since Col Pearce held the whistle. Both Gfs we lost in 03 and 04 had nothing to do with him. Well in 04 the mini obstruction try b4 halftime should have been allowed but it was consistent with how the rule was being interpreted. He respected the players and generally only penalized if he thought players were trying to have a lend of him. But recently, with the famous Gaz "try" against Manly, and now with these comments defending the touchies on Fri night, he urgently needs a brain CT scan. He must have a brain tumour.

Bill Harrigan almost did as much as Ch9 to destroy the game of RL when he refereed.
His biased crap and blatant ignoring of infringments "to let the game flow" has damaged the game to such an extent.
The fact that he is now the boss of the referees shows the amateaur way the NRL is really run

I like Billy's refereeing style, I don't think it works well under the 10 interchange system though - leads to a lot of matches never opening up.
