apparently Cleary has called a press conference for tomorrow to announce his future, rumours running rife that Gus has got his man.

such a shame as he would have been perfect to be our next head coach, like it or not Smith has lost the respect of our squad and it is very rare if ever a coach wins when he has lost the respect of the players, the worst thing that can happen for us now is to enter this off season believing next year will be any different only to be in a situation where we end up giving Smith the punt in the first two months of next year when nothing has improved.

You are correct Duke.

He played for Manly, Norths, Easts and NZ....Coached Easts reserve grade in 2004 before coaching NZ..He is now going to coach Penrith next year..

Hardly a true Easts man...
