  • Dragons rorting the cap?

They bring Gasnier back on 50K last year declaring his contract loaded backend, yet now he retires out of the blue happy that he's won a premiership even though he has 3 "backended" years to run?

    http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/l...714-1heuf.html

    Smells fishy to me.

    Chook.

Farewell Fire Up Bitch Man, Fubby, the Fubster, The Hypernator (Mine) I won't say I'll miss you.

On topic, this is the beginning of the slide for the Dragons.

Revenge is a dish best served cold as they say and they're about to get a nice dose of cold karmic vomit.

That $50k deal ended up being $150k as the NRL wouldn't register the $50k contract.

Yeah there is certainly something fishy there, 3 years to run on a back ended contract nd he retires???

He is only 30 next week
            No injury concerns
No off field dramas (of late)
No falling outs with the coach

He makes up his mind at the START of 2011 that he will not have the drive in 2012.......So what has driven him to play in 2011 that won't be there in 2012 ???

Can he see the impending 2012 regression of the dragons and does not want to be a part of the mess with benny leaving?

There is something foul in the state of Denmark............................

Hasn't his wife also just had their first child? Maybe he's realised there's more to life than footy. Regardless of his reasons, you can hardly say they have rorted the cap when they have already lost the likes of Boyd. And if he gets a massive payment under the table who are we to complain. I'm sure there's been a few of our players who have received similar payments over the years.

I just dont think he can be bothered anymore.

I sused to work as doorbitch on Oxford Street and Gaz was a regular member fo the NRL posse that would fall into T2 at Taylor Square from Q Bar at 6 am and back out at 9am.

He knows there is more to life

no idea what he thinks beats working part time for 400k a year though and being able to go surfind whenever he likes

Watching them get stripped of the 2010 premiership would be almost as good as us winning it.

This jealous obsession about anything St.George can not be good for you, as amusing as it is to others....
