Wayne Bennett knows what he is doing, unfortunatley.

Don't get me wrong I think Bennett is a great coach. I just don't believe he is the genius people make him out to be. He has had the entire Queensland junior base for his entire career at the Broncos. Given the strength of the Broncos in that time, to make 6 grand finals in that period is not that great an achievement (roosters have made 5 grand finals in the last 12 years). With Saints he took a team from first to first....big fn deal.
The only statistic Bennett has that is admirable is his success rate once his teams make a grand final.

I do agree though with Brisbane he had the best of all of qld to choose from, but u still gotta get a team to play as a team, it's not as easy as getting The best 17 and expecting them to be world beaters

When the broncs have won the comp they have slumped prior to the semis and then found form in the first week of the finals once the weight and pressure of expectation had been lifted.
He is without doubt the best coach in the NRL by a country mile.
