  • Should opposing teams supporters groups be separated

This has to be bought up after tonight. A couple of Manly fans stood behind us consitantly abusing/annoying/getting on the nerves of/irritating us (Select as appropriate).

In the AFL, soccer (English and Australian) opposing teams fans supporter groups are seperate on the opposite sides of a stand or on seperate sides behind the goals.

I really do think it should happen in the NRL, The chookpen and our opposing team's supporters bay be kept away from each other and no opposing teams fans allowed near the others bay.

Do you think this should happen?

If you mean totally segregated like the soccer fans, then NO, these people need to learn that it is just a game...but are so fanatical it is imposible to let them sit together......

But I do believe that certain bays like the Chookepn and season ticketed bay should be free of opposition supporters purely for the fact that in recent times, and having first hand witnessing to the trouble that goes on within the bays, which is usually instigated by opopsition, and yet the pensters are the ones who end up in the firing line by the inept securiity at the SFS.....

When travelling to another ground though, how can you expect to be separated from the oposition fans??....unless you are in a reserved seat, in an area made just for each teams fans.........

I know there was a lot of abuse hurled last evening by Manly fans, but I have never been there, and knew all about them, so it is to be expected.......

And at the end of the day, if we were the ones winning, we would be giving their fans plenty in return.....

Ha ha, don't completely disagree with that!!

I can't stand opposition supporters in our bar area or seating area. What happens is that they yahoo and carry on like jerks. Then can't understand when someone pours beer over them, or worse!!!

Then they run to Ray Hadley about what awful people we are.

Sit with us if you want, but don't antagonise us. Support your team, cheer them even but turning around and abusing us or giving us the bird whilst sitting in our area is just asking for trouble.

Anybody, been to games at the Cowboys or the Knights? (There are 2 old shrews at EA Stadium that still picket our games.) Even our CEO has been called a rapist, a terrorist and a cheat by Souths "fans".

My boyfriend, a Saints fan, got followed out of Energy Aus Stadium by some old codger yelling "I'm going to kill you!"

Just an example of how some fans go too far and that a lot of the time, it's not the fans you'd expect.
