I cried the day he went to the Dogshit.

        Admittedly I was 22 but I was a young 22.

Paul Dunn was a good one too.

I remember him winning a goal kicking contest at a Steelers' family day in the early 80's.

Good to hear he is doing well. I was also sad to see him leave the Roosters. I thought this was going to be another Begurkian new signing thread.

Silva was the best stepper (off both feet) I think I've ever seen play

Silva! I almost choked when I saw this thread, for a second I thought he was coming back to do something at the Chooks. I was so glad when he left, his defence drove me insane. He used to literally pat opposition players on the back as they went in to score. Glad he is doing well though.

I remember that try well - that was a 3pm Saturday game on the ABC

He scored another absolute beauty in a Sunday TV game against Penrith one year

He made a break on about 1/2 way with only the fullback to beat and as he got closer to the fullback he started stepping one way, and then the next, like B Kenny used to do. By the time he got to the fullback, the poor bloke had no idea which way Silva was going to go, and he just went bang with the right foot step and was gone

I still remember Ray Hadley calling it "Oh Silva, THAT IS BRILLIANNNTTTTTTTT!!!!!"

                              I don't remember this one.

Are you sure it wasn't the try against Balmain in a Saturday afternoon game in 1992?

John Peard, who was sideline commentator and was working with the Roosters at the time said: "Rod Silva...Better feet than Fred Astaire".
