Brisbane look very strong but shakey if Sammy doesnt play in the finals.

Personally, I like the look of Dorkland and its probably their time if the NRL has anything to to with it.

Hey Pass The Ball, excuse me as I am hijacking the focus of your thread here.

But I want to ask you, as someone who has consistently lampooned anyone who goes so far as to suggest that match officials can possibly have any effect on the outcome of a game of rugby league (and please correct me if I have that wrong). My understanding of your perception of these matters is that the better team always wins, and whenever a supporter of a defeated team cries foul about refereeing, it is always sour grapes and inability of that supporter to accept the harsh reality their team was simply not good enough.

As a father of kids who play sport, and I know you have kids too, I think your philosophy is the better one to teach kids. Avoid the victim mentality, bad calls will be made but in the end they will even out. Do your best and don't dwell on the calls you think might have gone against you. My kid plays baseball, and I have seen the effect it has on the kids' concentration and morale when a parent vocally questions the umpire's call (against their kid's team).

But I am curious. What was your opinion of the influence or otherwise of the officiating in the dragons/roosters GF of 2010? Now that we are out of contention I thought it would be interesting to read your opinion.

      P1.

I would like the Tigers or Warriors to win.

But I worried that we will get a "St Merge" premiership and Brisbane will win

Newcastle are the only team guaranteed to miss out!

I liked Brisbane but they will miss their fullback, I'm with Storm now.

I can only see 3 teams having a real chance.

Tigers- on the back on benji

                    Broncos- class players

Manly- aggressive and can bash teams outta the game

The Storm don't have the players to do it this time around and the St Merge, well I just hope they choke again....i hate em.

Tigers (especially Marshall and Farrah) throw and get away with more forward passes in the competition - so if this continues I think they could be a chance. Personally I would love to see the Cowboys of Knights come from 7th or 8th and win (especially as Newcastle are paying $41)

                              Hard choice this year...
Manly and Melbourne farked themselves by having a biffo and we the Drizzle farked itself even more by playing us with a p!ss weak team, leading to possible ligament damage.

NZ... are a tough bunch of kiwis, but lack the potency. There's a reason why you don't play union if you're in NZ

St Cheat/Choke/Merge are over it... half the team + the coach are all thinking about winning next season.

Brisbane - will lift for Lockyer, but will need to win on that alone... I doubt they can.

                              Cowboys - good luck.

Knights - never know... the Wayne factor has caught on, but they have already done their job (blocking Souffs from the 8)

Oh and I picked the Tigers.
They could have won last year if we hadn't had the luck of the coin. Also the Benji drama is closed in his favour. They're injury & drama free... also Benji's the best play maker IMO.
