MANLY'S success on the field this season hasn't been mirrored off it as the Sea Eagles are set to incur a million-dollar loss, along with the administration being splintered by a clash between chief operating officer David Perry and long-time media manager Peter Peters.
The Weekend Australian understands Manly's inability to secure a major sponsor until late in the year -- anti-virus software company Kaspersky only came on board last month -- left a gaping hole in the club's budget. It means the Sea Eagles' respective owners will again dig into their own pockets to make up the shortfall.

Handy to have owners and wealthy club tragics in positions of power willing to dig into their own pockets if necessary in hard times to keep the teams afloat, eh?
