Starting early Monday at The Canterbury Hotel - a post-season party dedicated to departing skipper Andrew "Bobcat" Ryan - Idris knocked back a few schooners and was in good spirits.

But by the early hours of Tuesday, Idris, who will join the Titans on a big-money deal next year, was flying solo and struggling to stay awake at a Moore Park hotel.

The 21-year-old did not cause any trouble or order any further alcohol.


'King of the Kids' with his own tv kids show on the Gold Coast...would do well in Qld to only be drinking water and soft drink in future.

Employers learnt not to provide or allow alcohol to flow like water at parties with their name on them.
Employees/the public learnt that all actions these days, drunk or sober, can have major and dramatic consequences.

Former Roosters star Chris Walker advises Nate Myles not to go undertake booze ban at Titans


The Gold Coast, with its party lifestyle and plethora of temptations, can be a dangerous place for an NRL star with bucketloads of cash, testosterone and limited self-control.

The 31-year-old Walker, who played 151 NRL games at six clubs, says the Titans' leadership group, headed by Luke Bailey and Scott Prince, will benefit Myles. "The big thing is the leadership group the Titans have," he said. "Guys like Scott Prince and Luke Bailey keep you in check, they set the standard and I think Nate Myles will respond to that.

"The Titans have banned areas around Surfers (Paradise) that players don't go to. I learnt myself that nothing good happens after midnight there.
